MCCHS Registration 2026

New

WELCOME TO THE MCC HOCKEY SECTION REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR 2026

We're excited to announce that registrations are now open for the 2026 winter hockey season at the MCC Hockey Section! The countdown to a new season has begun, and we can’t wait to get started.

In line with our commitment to keeping hockey accessible, we're offering a variety of discounts this year, including for U21s, seniors over 60, students under 25, players involved in multiple competitions, and junior siblings.

To ensure the continued growth and success of the club, we’ve made some adjustments to our fees for 2026. These changes reflect rising operational costs, but we’ve worked hard to keep the increases as low as possible. We are deeply grateful for the ongoing support from the MCC Foundation, whose generous grants help us minimize these increases.

This year, we’re also continuing the volunteer levy that was introduced in 2025. Our community club thrives because of the dedication of its volunteers, and the levy encourages everyone - members and parents alike - to contribute to the club’s success. By helping out with some of the many tasks that keep the club running smoothly, you'll have a chance to connect with fellow members and families. The levy will be added to your registration fees where applicable, and more details can be found below.

Although we’re thankful for the support from the MCC Foundation, we’re always looking for new ways to keep costs down and support exciting initiatives. We’d love for you to get involved in our social events this season and support us in any way you can. If you or someone you know is interested in becoming an MCC Hockey Section sponsor, please reach out to your Section Head for more details.

PAYMENT

MCC hockey fees must be paid in full, or you must have signed up to a payment plan, by the Wednesday before the first round.

If you are not financial, you will not be selected. Late fees may also apply. If you are involved in any training before Round 1, you are also required to be registered with Hockey Victoria to ensure you have insurance coverage.

PAYMENT PLANS

Payment plans are an effective way to spread the cost of registration over a 5 month period. A payment plan requires a 20% deposit by the due dates listed above, with the balance to be paid by direct debit in weekly, fortnightly or monthly instalments, and to be paid in full by 31 July. The payment plan is most effective when you sign up early.

FAMILY REGISTRATIONS

If you are registering a family, we ask that each playing adult register separately. Junior players under the age of 18 should be registered as part of an adult's registration.

If you have a child who has turned 18 before registering, we ask that they register separately, even if a parent is paying their fees.

SUPPORTER MEMBERSHIP

We are pleased to offer supporter memberships for non-players. In 2026 this will be $105 and entitles the supporter to a $50 kiosk voucher, as well as a choice of either a cap or a beanie. This membership will also be available to purchase directly from the kiosk during the winter season.

VOLUNTEER LEVY

For details on the Volunteer Levy, please see the below linked summary, with the full policy available on our website:

HOW TO REDUCE YOUR FEES

There are many ways to reduce your fees. We have several operational support roles, as well as coaching roles for Junior and Senior teams, where you can have your MCC Hockey Section fees waived or reduced.

You can also take up an exempt role to remove your volunteer levy.

Umpires are also paid per game, which is a great way for Junior and Senior players to earn some additional income. The Club also has some paid roles. Please contact your Section Head if you are interested in any roles at the club.

CHILD SAFE REQUIREMENTS

For parents registering their child, every child (under 18 years of age at the date of registration) must have an adult primary contact and corresponding email address included as part of the registration process. This will assist the Club in delivering communications to each child's responsible adult.

TWO STEPS TO YOUR SUCCESSFUL REGISTRATION

1. MCC Hockey registration in Majestri - press the green "Register for MCCHS Registration 2026" button at the bottom of this email. There are detailed instructions below.

Please note that HookIn2Hockey registrations should be completed via our HookIn2Hockey website at https://www.mcchockey.org.au/juniors/hookin2hockey/.

2. Hockey Victoria registration

Hockey Victoria registration is a requirement to train and play - it provides your insurance cover. Please arrange your registration via this link: https://www.revolutionise.com.au/mcchockeyvic/registration/

Non-playing members are not required to register with Hockey Victoria unless they are also acting as an official (e.g. team manager).

PLAYER TRANSFERS

If you are transferring from another club (including from interstate) please contact Gary March at secretary@mcchockey.org.au who will facilitate the transfer process through RevSport.

DETAILED MAJESTRI INSTRUCTIONS

After pressing the green "Register for MCCHS Registration 2026" button:

1. Enter your details as the "Primary Contact".

A Primary Contact MUST be at least 18 years old. If you are a parent/guardian of a Junior player, you need to register yourself first and then register all children under 18 as members. This supports the Club in complying with Child Safe requirements.

2. Emergency Contact - Please provide an emergency contact who cannot be the Primary Contact or an U18 member.

3. Register Members - enter member details. Also register another Member here, if required.

Please register yourself (as relevant) and any children playing Juniors under the Primary Contact. If you are not playing please consider registering as a Supporter Member / social member of the club.

4. Communications - you can add additional email addresses (e.g. second parent contact).

** Before pressing the green "Checkout" button on the right of the screen - check you have registered all members under this Primary Contact:
 - If a second parent/guardian is also playing - they should register separately.
 - If an adult child is playing - they should register separately - as this assists team management even if a parent is still paying

5. On the Checkout screen - review details and membership type. If something is not right, click "Make changes" at top of page.

6. Registration Total - the total fee amount due is calculated and includes any discounts or credits applicable.

7. Terms and Conditions - accept MCCHS's terms & conditions by ticking the box. Your registration will be incomplete if this step is not completed.

8. Total to pay. Please complete the registration process by choosing one of the green button payment options:
- Pay the full amount online with credit card;
- Pay the deposit amount online with credit card (with full payment required the Wednesday before Round 1),
- Apply for a payment plan with a 20% deposit paid before the Wednesday before Round 1, and full payment by 31 July 2026. See Direct Debit Information below.
- Pay via BPay via invoice (if you are expecting a full or partial fee waiver, please choose this option, and leave unpaid, and we will arrange the credit).

DIRECT DEBIT INFORMATION

Instalments must be paid via direct debit of a bank account in your name. Credit cards are not supported for this method of payment. Instalments can be made every week, every two weeks, every four weeks or after the same date each month (e.g. if paid on 15th). Debits only occur on a Tuesday or Friday.

Each instalment will incur a fee of $0.99 (inclusive of GST). Failed withdrawals due to funds not available, incorrectly entered account details, or incompatible account setup will incur a charge of $5.50 (inclusive of GST). Scheduled withdrawals that are cancelled on the day of debit will incur a charge of $2.75 (inclusive of GST). Payment Plans will be automatically cancelled if two consecutive debits fail or are cancelled on the day of debit.

Supporting our Club

The MCC Hockey Section is a community based sports club that provides opportunities for people of all ages to participate in the sport of hockey.

As a not-for-profit club, we rely on both member fees and the support of sponsors to continue offering opportunities for all our players to participate in organised sport and provide, maintain and develop our facilities.

There are a number of ways that you and your friend, family and colleagues can get involved to and help us continue to run a vibrant club that supports its members.

Club Sponsorship

Sponsoring MCC Hockey is a great way to show your support for the Club and also benefit from the exposure you will get from being associated with the Club as well as the broader MCC family.

There are different sponsorship levels available to suit all types and sizes of business. If you would like to promote your business or know of someone that may be interested in sponsoring the club, please contact Alison Foenander at chair@mcchockey.org.au.
